Dear Friends,

Greetings from Bangladesh.  I suppose many of you are staying in the cold weather.  Here in Bangladesh, it is cool at night and in the morning, but during daytime the sun is warm and the mustard flowers are blooming in the field.

After coming back from USA, I visitted three hospitals in Bangladesh.  Now I began to work at one of the hospitals from the end of Novenber.  It is Joyramkura Christian Hospital, which is located in contryside of north Banlgadesh.  At this hospital, three doctors resigned in three months before I vistted in October, and only two Christian Bangladesh doctors were working very hard.  In the hospital, ther are about 100 inpatients and also there are many deliveries.  So they had to work very hard from the morning to the evening in OPD, ward, and operating theater.  But they never complain and work with joy.

I joined from the end of November.  Most of my work is to do operation, like, appendicectomy, hernioplasty, cholecystectomy and so on.  And also I began to do caeserian section.  Because there are many caeserian section and I, who is not an obstetician, have to do, too.  Now I enjoyed to do that operation.  What a joy to help babies to live in the new world!

Last week, the cief nurse of the operating theater told me.  ‘We have prayed to the Lord, and you came here.  I believe that God brought you here.’  Can you imagine how I was glad to hear that?

I wish you wonderful Christmas and New year.

Please pray for
1.    I can do what I have to do in this hospital.
2.    The communication in Bengli
3.    Protection for two Bangladesh doctors, who are working very hard without enough rest
4.    Thank you for praying for God’s guidance for me.

In Jesus,
 Megumi
