Dear Friends,
Hello from Bangladesh. I hope you are doing well. The hot and humid weather is continueing from last April here in Bangladesh. And it was raining a lot last two months. Now in my house , one big frog is staying with me.
Ifm sorry for not having written letters for a long time. I joined Joyramkura Christian Hospital at the end of last November and nine months has already passed. Basicaly I was fine, but I needed some time to adjust to new environment. There were only two doctors when I joined last year, but now another two doctors joined.
My main work is to do surgery, but these days I do endoscopy for upper gastro- intestinal tract, and sometimes I do general anesthesia. It was difficult to do anesthesia here, because the light of larygoscopy is not bright enough and sometimes medicine doesnft work very well. In Japan when we do anesthesia we have many kinds of monitors, like ECG, pO2monitor, pCO2monitor, blood pressure monitor and so on. Here we have to do with pO2 monitor only. ( It is very good that we have this monitor!). These days I got more confidence to do general anesthesia. If I can do general anesthesia, we can do surgery for wider range of patients, for example generalized peritonitis, intestinal obsttruction. We couldnft do surgery for these kinds of patients before, if it is not Monday which an anesthesist comes to our hospital.
The other day one board member told us about the man who were sent to our hospital from Dhaka. He was told that he has inguinal hernia and needs surgery. His scrotum was swelling ang had a pain. We diagnosed that it is orchitis and not hernia. We treated him with antibiotics. After going back to Dhaka he said to the borad member that he got to know what to love people means. We donft know why he thought so, but it was very encouraging for us. It is our task to show Jesusfs love through our work.
My visa will be expired at the end of September, and my first term will be over. I want to come back with a new visa after staying in Japan for six months. The office person of the hospital said to me e We will work hard for your visa because we need you.f I thought this was a big encouragement from God.
Thank you for your faithful prayer. Last three years were not easy days , but really God has protectd me and guided me.
Please pray for
