Dear Friends,

Greetings from Bangladesh.  Now here in Bangladesh, most of the time the temperature is around 25, so it is very comfortable.  There is no rain.

I finished my language study in school at the end of September.  I came to Parbatipur, and began to work at LAMB Hospital in the middle of October.  I got my house in the compound.  When I saw it for the first time in July, it was very filthy.  The glass window was broken, the wall is dirty and in the cupbord a cockroach was dead. But the maintenance people did a good work, and house keepers cleaned very well.  So now I am very comfortable in this house.  I can see rice field from the big window and over the rice field I can see the risig sun in the morning and rising moon in the evening. I could get a very nice house keeper also.  She is a Christian Bangladeshi and a good cook.

In the hospital Dr. B, who has been woring here for 5 Years, is working with me.  He had been working in Africa for about 40 years, so he had a lot of experiences. He can do many kinds of operations, like cleft lip and palate, relief of burn contructure, skin glaft, orthopedic operations, and abdominal operations. I hope I can learn a lot from him before he leaves here.

Sometimes, patinets can’t pay their bill and stay in the corridor of the hospital after we discharge them.  For poor people, there is the poor fund and many of the hospital costs are coverd with it, even though they can’t pay a small amount of money.  What I can do for them is to pray and to reduce the cost as possible as I can, like not to use expensive medicine.  But I am always struggling how I can treat them in the way God wishes.

Please Pray for

 1.  The poor people in Bangladesh
 2.  I can get ability to do operations that I did’t use to
 3.    Improvement of Bengali and also English
 4.    Jichi-idai-mae Christ Church, which sends me
 5.    My mother, who is 82 years old and still working as a gynecologist.   Recently her house keeper became ill and she has to do household work by herself.  Both of my mother and my elder sister don’t know the Lord.
