Dear Friends,

Greetings from Bangladesh.  This year there aren’t so much rain in July, so it’s very hot now.　If I use mosquito net , the wind from ceiling fan doesn’t come through the net.  But if I don’t use mosquito net, I have to fight with mosquito and other insects all night.  So I have to choose hot or fight.  Not only for hot weather, but also the farmers need water in rice field.  So please pray for the rain.

In last 1 month I was working at the LAMB Hospital.  Because I had to take over Dr. B, who is taking holiday.  I had anxiety for working because of the difference of environment,. diseases, and anesthesia.  Everyday I saw the diseases which I have’t seen in Japan, like filariasis, ascariasis in the bile duct, and so on. Every morninng when I walk to the hospital I pray to God.  Fortunetely the young bengali Dr,Wrinkle and medical assistant Martha was very helpful. I thank God for that He surely helped me.

Now I am staying in Dinajpur and go to the hospital 3 days a week.  Again I go to the local school and study with kids.  We are now good friends.  I am going to language school in Dhaka from the end of August to the end of September.  Then I am going to work at LAMB as a long termer from the middle of October.

Please pray for

1.    language study of Bengali

2.    communication in English  (I can’t  follw the conversation with other workers)

3.    health (Malaria, Dengue, and I feel tired in hot weather)

4.    Visa extension ( I can’t go outside of Balgladesh for holidays now)
